SIARGAO ISLAND

There are 7107 islands that make up the archipelago of the philippines that stretches through the tropics for 1100 miles.There are geological faults and major earth movements that played their part in the formation of the philippines, giving it a staggering array of topographical features, from rugged mountain chains to jagged and embayed coastlines.The majority of the philippine peoples religion is catholic, which started around 1521.

 

   Siargao island is located 10 degrees north of the equator and the climate is tropical all year round. The water temperature stays at a consistent 23 to 25 degrees celsius. Temperature of the air varies from 28 to 34 degrees celsius.This region has two seasons, the south west predominates july through to november and continues from march to april. This period has overall more swell but the wind is more on shore even though glass off`s are common and protected island makes conditions still perfect. April through to june is usually the calmest period except for the off season typhoons that may occur and when they do, conditions are ideal.
